Zhejinang
The history of human
civilization has marched into a new era accomp-
anied by the pace of new millennium.
Everyone wishes tolive a happy li-fe but not everyone could really have one. Misfortune
togetherwith hap-piness, has also been brought to thisworld by the god. And one
of suchcommunity is the disabled.
The disabled exist ever since human beings
came into being. Deformi-
ty, though inescapable during the developing process
ofthe whole socie-ty, is also a kind of cost that we must pay. There are about
2 million disa-bled people in our province today, occupying 5% of the total population
of the province. Each of these people suffers a bitter memory of himsel-f or distress
ofhis family It's nothing special for you to enjoy yourself wi-th friends and
relatives while it's just a dream impossible for many poor disabled people to
possess basic necessities of daily life; you may feel proud of your children's
performance atschool while many disabled chi-Idren can't go to study; you may
also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the nature as you like while blind people
can forever only sense the Ionelin-ess and bitterness in a black world.
The
coexistence of health and deformity, fortune and misfortune has
borne out the
traditional virtues of our nation, the essence being to help
people who are
in need of help, such as the weak, the poor and the dis-
abled. Now with the
coming ofthe new millennium, let's try our best to
help the disabled people
change their life, help them enjoy the same h-
appiness as us and to help them
regarding aspects of ducation,empl-
oyment, recovery and etc.
One good
virtue deserves another; to help Others is just Iike to help
yourself, for
you are sure to feel the happiness through helping others.
We are expecting
anxiously that kind and warmhearted people could
offer their help and contribute
their love. We are wishing sincerely that
all the disabled people in difficulty
can sense the warm wind of human
civilization.
